Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan are stepping into a world where nothing is quite what it seems. The teaser of Haiwaan, directed by Priyadarshan, has finally dropped, and if the first look posters had audiences curious, the latest glimpse takes the mystery several notches higher.
The teaser wastes little time in establishing an unsettling mood. Rather than spelling out the plot, it relies on shadows, silhouettes and fleeting glimpses to create a sense of danger lurking beneath the surface. The result is a teaser that feels deliberately cryptic, leaving viewers with more questions than answers.
At the centre of the intrigue is one question: Hero or Haiwaan?
Akshay and Saif appear to be caught in a world where appearances can be deceptive, but the teaser carefully avoids revealing which side either character is truly on. Their pairing itself adds to the anticipation, with the two actors seemingly heading towards an intense and unpredictable face-off.
There are no easy answers in this first glimpse. Instead, Haiwaan appears to be positioning itself as a thriller where the line between good and evil could get increasingly blurred. The ominous atmosphere, restrained reveals and hints of something sinister waiting to emerge suggest that the makers are saving the biggest surprises for the trailer.
The film marks another collaboration between Priyadarshan and Akshay Kumar, while Saif brings another intriguing layer to the central mystery. With both actors entering a darker and more unpredictable space, their on-screen dynamic is likely to be one of the film's biggest talking points. Akshay and Saif have reunited after 17 years for Haiwaan.
The ensemble further adds to the anticipation. Haiwaan also stars Boman Irani, Saiyami Kher and Shriya Pilgaonkar in pivotal roles, bringing together a cast capable of adding plenty of intrigue to the thriller.
Produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Shailaja Desai Fenn under KVN Productions and Thespian Films, Haiwaan is shaping up to be a theatrical thriller built around suspense, danger and deception.
For now, the teaser is keeping the cards close to its chest. But with Akshay and Saif at the centre of a mysterious confrontation, audiences will be left wondering one thing, who is the hero, and who is the Haiwaan?
Haiwaan is scheduled to release in cinemas on September 11, 2026.
