Heroes are outdated

Anil Kapoor believes ‘Alpha' marks a significant shift in Hindi cinema by placing two women, Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, at the forefront of a mainstream action entertainer. Speaking about the film, Anil said that the audience today responds to "main character energy" rather than gender, adding that ‘Alpha' challenges outdated ideas of heroes. "Being an ‘Alpha' has never been about gender. It's about presence, conviction, courage, and the ability to drive a story forward," he added. Anil also expressed pride in being part of a film that "embraces" a new vision of leadership on screen, saying he hopes it opens "an entirely new chapter for action cinema".

Malayalam superstar Mohanlal has announced that his next feature film, Athimanoharam, will arrive in cinemas worldwide on December 24. The Drishyam star shared the film's first poster, which features him along with actor Meera Jasmine, on social media on Thursday (June 26), and wrote, "His world begins and ends with the people he calls family".
