Bandhu Man Singh arrested in Kapil Sharma cafe firing
Comedian and actor Kapil Sharma's Canada eatery, Kaps Cafe, has often come to the spotlight due to the repeated gunfire incidents. The eatery located in Surrey, British Columbia in Canada has so far experienced three firing incidents. The café, which was inaugurated in July, was first targeted by unknown shooters just a few days after its launch. Two more attacks followed on August 7 and October 16, respectively.
As per the latest development, the Delhi Police have arrested gangster Bandhu Man Singh, who is a prominent criminal of the Goldy Dhillon Gang. He was arrested in connection with the conspiracy behind the attack on Kapil's cafe.
According to reports, Singh is the main handler of the Goldy Gang. He played an instrumental role in orchestrating its attacks on Kapil Sharma's cafe. He allegedly fled Canada in August and later returned to India. Besides, he also has numerous criminal cases filed against him.
Interestingly, Kapil Sharma broke his silence about the fiting incidents recently. While talking during the trailer launch of his upcoming film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 in Mumbai, Kapil said, "These incidents happened in Canada, in Vancouver. I think teen baar vahan pe firing huyi (I think there were three shootings there)..I think the police don't have the power to control things. But after that, when our case happened, it went to the federal court... There was a discussion in the Canadian Parliament..."
The comedian and actor added, "I received calls from many people saying that all this was already going on there, but after the shooting at my cafe became news, the police are taking steps to significantly improve the law and order situation... "
Kapil emphasised that he has never felt unsafe in Mumbai, saying, "I never feel like this in Mumbai or in my country. There's no one like our Mumbai Police... " He added that the incidents have not affected the business in the long run. He said, "After all the gunfire there, we saw a bigger opening in our cafe... If God is with you, everything is fine..."
