Social media influencer Orhan Awatramani, popularly known as Orry, recently appeared before the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) of Mumbai Crime Branch, Ghatkopar Unit on Wednesday. He was summoned by the officials over his alleged involvement in the ongoing Rs 252-crore drugs case. Orry, who arrived around 1:30 PM, was seen leaving the ANC office at 9:00 PM, after nearly 7.5 hours of interrogation.
The ANC had issued a summons to Orry for questioning on Wednesday. He was earlier summoned by the court on November 20; however, he informed officers that he would be unavailable until November 25. Following his request, a fresh summons was issued, pushing him to appear on November 26.
After a 7.5-hours-long extensive questioning by the Ghatkopar ANC, Orry walked out of the office without speaking to the media. Notably, the Ghatkopar ANC unit interrogated Bollywood actor Siddhanth Kapoor for nearly 5 hours on Tuesday, November 25, in the same â¹252-crore drugs case,
The Mumbai Crime Branch said that the social media influencer did not reveal much during questioning. He consistently stated that he does not know Salim Sohail Shaikh and has no connection with him, and he has never spoken with him.
Police also say that Orry claims he goes to many Bollywood parties every day, but drugs are not involved in those parties, nor does he do drugs or have anything to do with them. He said that he only goes to Bollywood parties and gets his photos taken.
Actor Siddhant Kapoor, who is also the brother of actress Shraddha Kapoor, was also questioned for 5 hours, but he is also not cooperating with the investigation. Police found a new mobile phone in his hand. When Crime Branch officials asked Siddhant about the mobile phone, he said his old mobile was broken, so he bought a new one just two days ago.
Meanwhile, Orry has been questioned for over 7 hours in the case on Wednesday, and officials are not satisfied with his answers, so he may be called back. Similarly, Siddhanth may also be called again for questioning.
