Falguni Pathak's Navratri Utsav 2026 has already become a talking point, but not just because of the Garba queen's much-awaited return. The event's ticket prices have left several netizens stunned, with premium options going up to a whopping Rs 2 lakh.
The nine-night celebration is scheduled to take place at Mumbai's Jio World Convention Centre from October 11 to 19. Falguni Pathak, known for her energetic Garba performances and evergreen festive hits, will headline the event, which promises music, dance and a premium Navratri experience.
According to the ticketing details, a Season Pass is priced at Rs 20,000 per person and provides access to all nine nights of the celebration. For those looking to attend for just one evening, single-day passes start at Rs 2,200 under Phase 1. The single-day ticket is valid for one person for one night and does not include taxes.
However, it is the premium POD option that has caught the internet's attention. Priced at Rs 2,04,000, the private space can accommodate up to 12 people for one night. The package also includes a Rs 10,000 food and beverage coupon, making it a considerably more exclusive experience than the regular passes.
Soon after the ticket prices surfaced online, social media users began sharing their reactions. While Falguni Pathak's popularity during Navratri is undeniable, many questioned whether the experience justified such steep pricing.
One user described the tickets as "very expensive", while another jokingly remarked, "Kidney deposit rakhna padega, insane amount." Others also called for more affordable options, pointing out that Navratri celebrations have increasingly become a major business.
Despite the criticism, the event is expected to attract considerable interest, particularly among Falguni Pathak's longtime fans. The organisers are positioning the celebration as a premium Navratri experience, with a fully air-conditioned indoor venue, a carpeted dance floor, live performances, Maha Aarti, immersive lighting and dedicated hospitality.
For those willing to splurge, the premium PODs offer private space and hospitality, while regular attendees can opt for single-night or season passes. With the festivities still weeks away, it remains to be seen whether the backlash over the prices will affect demand.
For now, though, one thing is clear: Falguni Pathak's Garba may have fans ready to dance all night, but some are wondering if they will need to break the bank to do it.
