Yami Gautam thinks husband Aditya Dhar should try in films after he reacts to her first look in Nayyi Navelli

Dhurandhar filmmaker Aditya Dhar and actress Yami Gautam have been one of the most adored power couples of Bollywood. Despite keeping thier lives private, they occasionally give fans a glimpse of their undeniable chemistry on social media. A similar display of thier fun banter was recently seen after the first look of Yami's upcoming film, Nayyi Naveli, which started filming in April. Dhar had a witty reaction to his wife's new film, while Yami had an equally hilarious response.

On Tuesday, the makers of Nayyi Naveli dropped the first-look poster of the upcoming fantasy film. The tagline of the film, "Bhabhi daayan hai," teased that Yami plays a witch in the film. The poster showed Yami Gautam taking on a monster while dressed in bridal attire, suggesting that she will be playing a new bride with secret superpowers.

Dhurandhar director Aditya Dhar reacted to this by sharing the poster on his Instagram handle and wrote, "So this is what I married into!!" Yami had an equally funny comeback, as she reposted his Story along with the caption, "Hahaha... writer saahab... aap filmon mein try kyun nahi karte? Intezar kijiye 16 October ka (Writer sir, why don't you try working in films? Wait until October 16)."

Yami Gautam returns to the big screen with Nayyi Navelli after her stunning outing in the critically acclaimed Haq, co-starring Emraan Hashmi. The film is directed by Balaji Mohan and written by Himanshu Sharma and Divy Nidhi Sharma. The film reportedly revolves around a perfect bride who brings joy to a chaotic family in Meerut. However, her brother-in-law begins to suspect that the ideal bahu may actually be a daayan (witch).

Recently, Yami Gautam opened up about the film via a post on X, which read, "The strength of ‘Nayyi Navelli' is in its originality. Thank you for this trust. I am very excited for you all to experience this film in theatres on October 16! Won't disappoint my audience." The film is produced by Anand L Rai and is all set to release in theatres on October 16, 2026.

Meanwhile, Yami is next set to headline Kahaani 3.
