Nushrratt Bharuccha returns home after spine surgery, thanks fans for prayers and wishes

Actor Nushrratt Bharuccha has been discharged from the hospital after successfully undergoing spine surgery following an accident in Bali. The actress is now back home and focusing on her recovery. Her team shared an official statement confirming that the surgery went well and thanked fans for their love, prayers and wishes.

Her team shared an update via an official statement that read, "After going through a difficult and challenging phase following her unfortunate accident, Nushrratt Bharuccha has successfully undergone spine surgery. We are relieved to share that the surgery went well, and she has now been discharged from the hospital.

Nushrratt is finally back home, surrounded by care and comfort, as she begins the important journey towards recovery. While the road to complete recovery will take time, she remains positive and is focusing on healing and regaining her strength.

We sincerely thank everyone for the overwhelming love, concern, prayers and good wishes extended to her during this difficult time."

About Nushrratt's injury

For those who do not know, Nushrratt was in Bali for a work-cum-holiday trip when she suffered a fracture in her spine following an unfortunate accident. She was later airlifted to Mumbai for surgery.

Her team issued an official statement revealing that the actress was under medical observation. "Nushrratt Bharuccha, who was in Bali for a work-cum-holiday trip, met with an unfortunate accident and suffered a fracture in her spine. At present, our immediate priority is her health and ensuring she receives the necessary medical care. We are currently making arrangements to bring Nushrratt back to Mumbai from Bali via an air ambulance, where she will undergo the surgery," read the statement.

Bharuccha had shared her first social media post after suffering a spine injury in Bali. She took to the Stories section of her official Instagram handle on Saturday and uploaded a photo of an empty reclining wheelchair, with a beautiful sunset visible through the window. The actress added the text, "Been chasing sunsets forever, And just like that... my view changed. But, picture abhi baaki hai mere dost. (sic)."

She later uploaded a clip of the song ‘Gerua' playing on the television, with some giggles heard in the background. Nushrratt wrote alongside the video that such moments remind her that no matter what life throws at us, things do get better with time. "And just like that, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol bring a smile to my face."
