Palaash and Smriti
Palaash Muchhal and Smriti Mandhana, who are set to tie the knot on November 23, have been sharing countless photos from the pre-wedding festivities. On Saturday, Palak shared pictures featuring herself and her lyricist husband, Mithoon, along with the bride and groom-to-be. The four looked gorgeous in different hues of purple.
From the mehendi ceremony, several new images have surfaced where Smriti is seen glowing in a stunning purple traditional outfit. She can also be seen posing happily with her teammates, while Palaash complemented her in a cream ethnic outfit. Several pictures were shared by their friends and family members.
Palaash's sister Palak captioned one picture as "Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayengeâ¦", adding purple heart emoticons. Earlier, Palak had shared a few pictures of the Haldi ceremony that took place on November 21. In one picture, Palak looked emotional as she applied the wedding haldi on the groom-to-be, Palaash.
After the fun-filled mehendi ceremony, the couple danced their hearts out during the sangeet. In a now-viral clip, Smriti walks in with a garland and lovingly places it around Palaash's neck. The two then break into a lively dance performance. Videos from the sangeet night show Smriti and Palaash dancing to Salman Khan's hit song Tenu Le Ke Main Jawanga. Palaash also surprised his to-be-wife by singing some romantic songs for her.
Another wholesome moment from the sangeet shows the entire Indian women's cricket team performing a special group dance for Smriti.
For the uninitiated, Smriti Mandhana is one of India's most celebrated women cricketers and a key figure in international women's cricket. Palaash Muchhal is a well-known music composer associated with many Bollywood projects. The couple has been dating since 2019 but kept their relationship a secret. A few days ago, the singer shared an adorable video proposing to his ladylove, while the cricketer confirmed their engagement in a fun video with her teammates flaunting her ring.
On the occasion of Smriti and Palaash's wedding, Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent his heartfelt wishes to the couple through a letter.
