Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, one of the most anticipated films, has opened advance bookings on the auspicious occasion of Dussehra. As excitement around the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer builds, ticket prices in Mumbai are surging, with the most expensive ticket reportedly priced at Rs 2,350. Several other theatres in the city are charging between Rs 1,700 and Rs 1,900.
Tickets for Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana are reportedly priced at up to Rs 2,350 at Palladium in Mumbai, making it one of the costliest moviegoing experiences for the highly anticipated film. While the highest-priced tickets have caught attention, rates at other theatres across the city range between Rs 1,700 and Rs 1,900, depending on the venue and seating category.
Ramayana features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Rocking Star Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman. The film is set to bring one of the world's most revered epics to the big screen.
The makers confirmed on October 11 that Ramayana: Part One would arrive worldwide on November 5, 2026. The announcement helped clear up earlier confusion over the release date, after the international trailer had initially listed November 6.
Fans may get an early chance to watch Ranbir Kapoor's much-anticipated Ramayana: Part One before its official theatrical release. The film is reportedly planning 300 paid preview screenings across India on November 4.
As per a report in Bollywood Hungama, the Motion Picture Association has passed Ramayana with a PG-13 rating in the US. This rating is similar to U/A in India and means that some material may be inappropriate for children below the age of 13.
At a recent pre-release event for Ramayana in Hyderabad, Yash addressed the audience and asked fans not to nitpick VFX faults in the upcoming film. "One thing I will tell you. Please don't try to find small faults of VFX, this, that. It will never happen again. If we lose people like him (Namit Malhotra) now, it will take more years. We will go back. So let's see with an open mind," Yash, who plays Ravana in the film, said.
