Actor Ranbir Kapoor has expanded his real estate portfolio with a major land acquisition in Maharashtra. According to property registration documents accessed through the Inspector General of Registration (IGR), Maharashtra, the actor has purchased four adjoining land parcels in Pune's Mulshi taluka for Rs 16.42 crore.
The transaction was officially registered on July 11, 2026, and includes a total land area of approximately 4.87 hectares (around 25 acres). The purchase has once again drawn attention to the growing interest of Bollywood celebrities in investing in land across Maharashtra, particularly in scenic locations around Pune.
As per the documents, Ranbir paid a stamp duty of Rs 1.15 crore and registration charges of Rs 30,000 to complete the transaction. The four plots are located in Mulshi, a region known for its picturesque landscapes, luxury villas and weekend homes. Over the years, the area has emerged as a preferred destination for high-net-worth individuals seeking long-term investments and holiday properties.
While the exact purpose of the purchase has not been disclosed, the acquisition has sparked speculation over whether the actor plans to develop a private retreat, a farmhouse or simply hold the land as a long-term investment. Neither Ranbir Kapoor nor his representatives have commented publicly on the purchase.
Mulshi has witnessed a steady rise in premium real estate investments over the last few years, thanks to its proximity to Pune and Mumbai. Improved infrastructure and increasing demand for luxury second homes have further boosted the area's appeal among celebrities, business leaders and investors.
Ranbir's latest purchase comes at a time when he continues to remain busy on the professional front. The actor has an exciting slate of projects lined up, including Ramayana, where he will be seen portraying Lord Ram. The epic film, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, is among the most anticipated Bollywood releases in recent years.
Apart from Ramayana, Ranbir is also expected to return with Animal Park, the sequel to his blockbuster film Animal. Fans are eagerly awaiting updates on the project, which is expected to reunite him with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The actor also has Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love & War in the pipeline, where he will share screen space with Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal.
On the personal front, Ranbir continues to balance work with family life. He and actor Alia Bhatt welcomed their daughter Raha in 2022 and have often spoken about enjoying parenthood while managing their busy schedules.
With this latest acquisition, Ranbir Kapoor joins a growing list of Bollywood stars investing in premium real estate beyond Mumbai. The purchase reflects a broader trend among celebrities opting for land investments in emerging luxury destinations, making Mulshi one of Maharashtra's most sought-after real estate hotspots.
