Amid the ongoing controversy surrounding Ranveer Singh's exit from Don 3, new reports have emerged suggesting that the actor has decided not to speak up about the matter. Reportedly, the Dhurandhar star has decided not to speak to any journalist or media outlets till the release of his next movie, Jay Mehta's Pralay.

Ranveer Singh to follow no media rule for 18 months: Report

According to a Free Press Journal report, a trade journalist reportedly said, "I met him personally," adding, "And he told me he will not speak on the Don 3 controversy, nor will he give any interviews for at least 18 months."

If the reports are true, Ranveer's decision comes amid his fallout with Farhan Akhtar over Don 3. The feud between the two has become one of Bollywood's biggest controversies this year. According to online reports, Singh exited the film due to creative differences with the makers. Reports also suggested that Ranveer was not happy with repeated delays in production and the absence of a locked final script. Farhan Akhtar claimed that the actor exited the project just days before the filming was scheduled, leading to losses.

The issue soon escalated into a legal matter, with Akhtar's Excel Entertainment demanding Rs 45 crore in compensation from Ranveer. Meanwhile, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) also issued a non-cooperation directive against the actor, which has now been revoked.

Interestingly, the period of 18-months will also include the birth of Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone's second child. The couple announced their second pregnancy in mid-April 2026

About Ranveer Singh's Pralay

Talking of his next project, Ranveer Singh will be seen in Jay Mehta's Pralay, which is a post-apocalyptic zombie thriller. Set in a post-apocalyptic Mumbai, the film is set to reportedly use AI-driven visuals to depict a crumbling, decayed version of the city. The film is being helmed by Jai Mehta, son of filmmaker Hansal Mehta, marking his theatrical directorial debut.

Previously, Jai has co-directed Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story as well as Lootere. The film is being co-produced by Hansal Mehta and Sameer Nair's Applause Entertainment. Reportedly, the script of Pralay has been finalised, and the film is expected to go on the floors soon.
