Actor Rashmika Mandanna, who is currently recovering at home after sustaining a hip injury while shooting Mysaa, made her first appearance in Hyderabad. The actress shared details about her injury in August, claiming that it had happened a ‘while ago'. The actor has now made her first public appearance since the injury. She was accompanied by her husband, actor Vijay Deverakonda, who was right by her side, holding her hand throughout the event.

Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda were seen attending producer Niranjan Reddy's son, Sahil Reddy's engagement in Hyderabad. The couple made a joint appearance as they were seen holding hands while arriving at the venue. The couple appeared relaxed as they posed for the cameras together.

Rashmika wore a black-and-gold lehenga, which featured detailed embroidery on the dupatta for the occasion. Meanwhile, Vijay complemented her look with a black outfit.

The appearance marked Rashmika Mandanna's first public outing since undergoing hip surgery following an injury while filming for Mysaa. Following the injury on set, Rashmika had taken a break from her professional commitments for her recovery.

About Rashmika Mandanna's injury

Rashmika had sustained a hip injury while shooting for her upcoming period action-drama film Mysaa. On August 3, the actress opened up about the injury, revealing that it was her third injury in a row. "It happened a while ago ya and this is my 3rd injury back to back..I should definitely learn to treat my body like a human body and not some machine.. (sic)," she wrote.

Further explaining the extent of her injury, Rashmika said that a tendon in her right hip had detached, which needed to be reattached before she could regain movement in her leg. "So there are 4 tendons on each side of your hip that connects your hip to your leg and one of those tendons on my right hip apparently had detached and that has to attach again, for me to be able to lift my leg up and stuff.. and this happened during my dance shoot for Mysaa.. my god that's the most aggressive film I've ever done for sure! (sic)," she shared.

On the work front, Rashmika was last seen on the big screen in Cocktail 2 alongside Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. Next, she will be seen in Mysaa, followed by Ranabaali, where she will share the screen with Vijay Deverakonda. Ranabaali is set to release on October 30.
