Rashmika Mandanna, who is currently busy juggling two films, namely, Mysaa and Ranabali, has reportedly suffered a serious hip injury while shooting for the films. Following the injury, the doctors have reportedly advised six weeks of complete rest for the actress along with rehabilitation. The injury will now impact the shooting schedules of both films.
According to multiple reports, Rashmika is said to have sustained a complete tendon detachment while she was filming a high-energy dance sequence. The actress met with an accident after falling while performing the dance steps. The shoot was immediately halted as she was rushed to a nearby hospital by the crew members.
According to reports, doctors said that Rashmika's injury was a rare and serious one, adding that such a complete tendon detachment in the hip is typically seen in athletes involved in high-intensity training. The physically demanding action scenes and energetic dance numbers are believed to have contributed to the injury.
As a result, the doctors have reportedly put Rashmika on six weeks of bed rest. She has also been asked to stay away from work. The doctors have also advised a structured rehabilitation programme to help restore strength and mobility.
So far, there is no official confirmation on the injury yet from the actress or her team.
On the work front, Rashmika Mandanna is currently working on two big-budget pan-India projects, Mysaa and Ranabali. She has been shooting for Mysaa.
In the Tamil film Mysaa, directed by Rawindra Pulle, Rashmika plays the role of a fierce Gond woman. The teaser of the film unveiled in December 2025, showed Rashmika's gritty new avatar to the audience. Produced by Unformula Films, the project has cinematography by Shreyaas P. Krishna and music by Jakes Bejoy. Rashmika had also recently completed filming an underwater stunt sequence for the film.
On the other hand, in Ranabaali, Rashmika will be seen reuniting with her husband Vijay Deverakonda, marking their third collaboration together. Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, Ranabaali is a Telugu period drama set during the British Raj, showcasing the lesser-known chapters of Indian history.
