Shah Rukh Khan has added his voice to the growing appreciation for Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar franchise. The superstar, who is currently gearing up for his own release King, revealed that he has watched both instalments of the action drama and enjoyed them.
During a recent Ask SRK session, a fan asked Khan whether he had watched Dhurandhar. Responding to the question, the actor wrote, "Loved both the parts....fantastic by the whole team!!!"
The brief but enthusiastic response has naturally caught attention, particularly given the scale of the franchise and the performances at its centre. While Dhurandhar has already made a strong mark with its box-office run, a shoutout from one of Hindi cinema's biggest stars adds another talking point to its growing popularity.
For Ranveer Singh, the franchise has also emerged as a major showcase of his range. His portrayal of Hamza brought a gritty and intense edge to the screen, while his characterisation of Jaskirat offered a different emotional dimension. The two parts have allowed the actor to explore contrasting shades within the same franchise.
Much of the conversation around Dhurandhar has revolved around Ranveer's transformation into the character Hamza. The character's distinct mannerisms, appearance and intensity have made him one of the most discussed aspects of the films, while Jaskirat has further highlighted the actor's ability to shift between different emotional registers.
The franchise has also expanded beyond its theatrical numbers, with individual characters becoming a major part of audience conversations. Hamza, in particular, has developed a strong recall value, adding to the cultural footprint of the films.
With both instalments now receiving appreciation from audiences and Shah Rukh Khan himself, Dhurandhar continues to remain firmly in the spotlight. For Ranveer, the franchise marks another ambitious addition to a career built around taking on dramatically different roles.
And with SRK calling both parts "fantastic", the Dhurandhar conversation has received another high-profile endorsement. Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan's much-awaited film King is set to release on December 24, 2026 around the same time as Avengers: Doomsday and Dune Part 3.
