Tom Holland confirms he and Zendaya are married, reveals family was present: 'I found my person'

Amid rumours of a secret wedding, Tom Holland has now confirmed that he has married Zendaya. The revelation comes after months of speculation that the couple had tied the knot in a hush-hush ceremony.

In an interview with Esquire, the Spider-Man: Brand New Day star has finally shared some details about their big day. Talking about the AI wedding photos of Tom with his new bride on Lake Como that spread across social media, garnering over 10 million likes in the process, Holland says his grandmother saw them and thought she hadn't been invited. When asked him if he was forced to send out similar messages to any other family members, he said, "No, because they were all there."

Although Holland refused to shed any more light on the special day, saying, "That's all you'll get on that," he opened up about his relationship with his now wife and the impact she's had on his peace of mind.

"Our business can present very stressful situations and it's really nice to have a bedrock of a relationship that will stand the test of time. We can support each other in ways that only we can, because only we understand really what it's like to live this life, and I think that is such a luxury, because I just don't understand how I would be able to have anything like that with anyone else," he said.

He added, "So, for me, I found my person. She's my best friend, and I'm the happiest I have ever been when I'm with her, but I have also never felt so supported and safe, ever. Period."

Tom and Zendaya met on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2016. Earlier during an interview with the same publication, he had opened up about his first impressions of Zendaya when she auditioned to play Peter Parker's classmate, Michelle 'MJ' Jones. "Obviously, I was super excited at the prospect of working with her and getting to know her. She smashed her audition out of the park and got the part before she'd even left the room," he had said.

"I remember when she closed the door to leave, [producer] Amy Pascal was immediately like, 'Well, she's getting the job'," he recalled.
