BLACKPINK member Lisa is stepping into the spotlight on her own terms with Always Lalisa, an upcoming documentary that traces her journey from a young K-pop trainee to a global solo star. The trailer offers a glimpse into the singer's professional and personal journey, including the challenges she faced while building an identity beyond one of the world's biggest girl groups.
Directed by Sue Kim, the documentary follows Lisa during a defining period of her career as she navigates the demands of going solo. While BLACKPINK remains a major part of her journey, Always Lalisa focuses on the artist behind the global superstar and explores what it took for her to establish herself independently.
The film looks back at Lisa's early years in Thailand and her decision to move to South Korea as a teenager to pursue a career in K-pop. She eventually joined YG Entertainment as a trainee before making her debut with BLACKPINK in 2016. Her rise with the group transformed her into an international celebrity, with her influence extending beyond music into fashion and entertainment.
However, the documentary shifts the focus to a new chapter in Lisa's life. It follows her as she works on her solo music, including her debut album Alter Ego, while also taking on opportunities outside the music industry. The film captures her transition into acting with her role in the third season of The White Lotus and her preparations for her performance at Coachella 2025.

Always Lalisa is set to release in IMAX and select cinemas worldwide on October 12, before its subsequent streaming release on YouTube Premium.
