Global K pop superstars BTS have officially unveiled the complete tracklist for their highly anticipated new album Arirang, marking their first full length group comeback following the members' completion of mandatory military service. The album's title draws from the traditional Korean folk song "Arirang," long associated with themes of longing, separation and reunion, signaling a deeply reflective and culturally rooted project.
Arirang features 14 tracks that blend expansive production with personal storytelling. The album opens with "Body to Body," followed by "Hooligan," "Aliens," "FYA," and "2.0." At its midpoint sits an interlude titled "No. 29," which transitions into the lead single "SWIM." The record continues with "Merry Go Round," "NORMAL," "Like Animals," "they don't know 'bout us," "One More Night," "Please," and concludes with the closing anthem "Into the Sun."
The album showcases significant creative involvement from all seven members. RM is credited as a songwriter on 13 of the 14 tracks, underscoring his ongoing role as one of the group's primary lyricists. SUGA and j-hope contributed to multiple songs across the project, while Jimin is credited on "they don't know 'bout us" and "Into the Sun." Jung Kook also participated in writing several tracks, reflecting the group's collaborative creative process.
The lead single "SWIM" is described as a song about resilience and forward momentum. Its message centers on perseverance and choosing to keep moving at one's own pace despite challenges. The theme closely mirrors BTS's own journey as they reunite after focusing on solo ventures and fulfilling national duties.
Sonically, Arirang is expected to explore a wide range of styles while maintaining the emotional depth that has defined much of the group's recent work. By referencing a traditional folk motif while presenting contemporary pop production, BTS appears to be bridging past and present in a way that honors their heritage and global identity.
Arirang is set for worldwide release on March 20, 2026, and is already generating strong anticipation among fans eager to witness the group's next chapter together.
