India's K-pop fandom is set for a major live-music moment as HYBE, which is the parent company of BTS, Seventeen, Tomorrow X Together, Le Sserafim and others, has announced that Weverse Con Festival is heading to the country for the first time. The flagship festival will take place in New Delhi on March 27 and 28, 2027, marking its first edition outside South Korea.
The two-day event will bring together K-pop acts and Indian musicians, alongside live performances, fan activities and interactive experiences. HYBE is yet to announce the lineup, but the festival is expected to combine its roster of global K-pop artists with India's expanding music scene.
The India edition will also introduce collaboration stages, giving Korean and Indian musicians an opportunity to perform together and explore different sounds. Beyond the concerts, attendees can expect brand experiences, cultural activities and opportunities to engage with artists and fellow fans.
HYBE CEO Jason Jaesang Lee said the festival marks a new chapter in the company's "multi-home, multi-genre" strategy and reflects its focus on India as an important market. Weverse Company President Zooil Yang added that the event will take the fan experiences associated with the Weverse platform "beyond the screen and into a live setting." The festival is being co-produced and promoted by BookMyShow Live, which will oversee its local production and promotion.
The announcement comes as K-pop continues to build a substantial following in India, with fans increasingly attending concerts and music events featuring Korean artists. Bringing Weverse Con Festival to New Delhi gives Indian audiences access to one of HYBE's biggest fan-focused events without travelling overseas.
The festival is also part of HYBE's wider expansion in the country. HYBE INDIA, based in Mumbai, has been conducting auditions to discover and develop local talent, including for a potential girl group. The company has also been exploring content and intellectual property aimed at Indian audiences with international potential.
Weverse Con Festival itself has evolved considerably since its launch. It began in 2021 as an online concert during the pandemic before returning digitally in 2022. The event moved to an in-person format in 2023 and was renamed Weverse Con Festival. It has since become an annual multi-day celebration in Seoul, featuring performances, fan zones, brand activations and artist interactions.
While the 2027 India lineup remains under wraps, the festival's debut already marks a significant expansion for HYBE's global live-music strategy. For Indian K-pop fans, March 27 and 28 could bring a new kind of Korean music experience to New Delhi, with Korean and Indian artists sharing the same stage.
