BTS member V, also known as Kim Taehyung, has made a heartfelt appeal to fans, asking them to respect the group's privacy by refraining from visiting the hotels where they stay during their ongoing ARIRANG World Tour. His message came after he revealed that constant crowds outside the hotel had affected both his rest and his ability to perform.
Taking to the fan community platform Weverse, V thanked fans for their unwavering support but urged them to draw a clear line between admiration and invading personal space. He explained that while he deeply appreciates the warm welcome the group receives in every city, their accommodation should remain a private space where they can rest and prepare for concerts.
To emphasize the impact of the situation, V shared a screenshot from his sleep tracker, revealing that he had managed just two-and-a-half hours of sleep. The singer suggested that the lack of proper rest was affecting his physical condition ahead of performances, making his request even more urgent. He also expressed his desire to enjoy simple moments while on tour, such as exploring local streets, dining at restaurants and experiencing different cities without being followed or monitored by fans.
V's candid message quickly spread across social media, where many fans voiced their support. ARMY members condemned those who wait outside hotels or attempt to track the group's whereabouts, stressing that such behaviour crosses the line from fandom into stalking. Many urged fellow fans to respect the members' boundaries and allow them the privacy they deserve during their demanding schedules.
The issue of fans gathering outside BTS' hotels has resurfaced multiple times throughout the group's global tour. While the majority of fans continue to support the members respectfully, a small number have repeatedly ignored requests to stay away from their accommodations, raising concerns about safety, privacy and the artists' well-being.
Despite the incident, V reassured fans of his gratitude for their continued love and encouragement. His message served as a reminder that artists also need time to rest and recharge away from the spotlight. As BTS continues its worldwide tour, fans have largely echoed V's appeal, hoping everyone will respect the members' personal space so they can stay healthy and deliver their best performances throughout the tour.
