The BTS Army celebrates its founding day on July 9, 2025. On the special occasion, the BTS members made sure to wish their beloved fans on their big day. J-hope took to Instagram to share a slew of photos of the seas of ARMY from his concerts. Meanwhile, BTS V also penned a heartfelt wish for the fans.

J-hope and other BTS members wish fans

J-hope shared a series of touching photos on his social media. The photos captured heartwarming moments of connection with fans, including scenes of holding hands, singing together, and concert venues filled with ARMY Bombs. He wrote, "Happy ARMY day."

Similarly, BTS V also posted a photo on the fan communication platform Weverse and penned a sweet message that read, "Happy ARMY day." He further sent warm wishes by adding, "Wishing you the happiest day today." Jimin also wished fans by sharing a glimpse of himself working in the recording studio. In his video message, he can be heard saying, "Today is ARMY's birthday. Happy birthday. I love you. I'll work hard on the album and return soon."

For the unversed, the boys are currently working on their new album, which is set to release in the spring of 2026. Recently, all seven members of the boy band came together on a live stream after more than three years and announced the exciting news to their fans.

What is the ARMY?

The name ARMY, which stands for "Adorable Representative M.C. for Youth," was officially adopted by the BTS fans on July 9, 2013. The name carries a lot of meaning behind it. Usually, the word 'Army' is associated with the military, body armour, and more. The fandom named itself the Army basically implying that fans will always be together with BTS, just like the military stays with its people.

Notably, BTS and ARMY are almost mirrored images of each other since they have a relationship that is affected by each other. The symbol of A.R.M.Y is expressed as a door on their viewpoint, which is waiting and welcoming BTS on the opposite door when BTS opens a new door.

Notably, RM had earlier revealed that ARMY was only one of the options for the fandom name. If 'Army' had not been selected as the official fandom name, the fans would have chosen "Bang-wools" or "Bells".
