Ram Charan
Actor Ram Charan visited a theatre in Hyderabad on Tuesday to watch his father Chiranjeevi's latest film Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu. He was accompanied by Varun Tej, Lavanya Tripathi, costume designer Sushmita Konidela, and other family members. Ram waved at fans and posed for pictures with the film's team.
Dressed in a checked shirt and jeans, Ram was spotted at a Gachibowli theatre. Videos showed him greeting director Buchi Babu Sana, Sushmita, and his nieces. Another clip captured Ram folding his hands and smiling as fans cheered inside the theatre.
Upasana also supported her father-in-law, posting a clip from the film on Instagram with the caption, "It's a Mega Sankaranthi. Hearty congratulations." Nayanthara reshared the post.
Chiranjeevi's Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu released for Sankranthi on January 12 and crossed Rs 100 crore worldwide within two days. The film collected â¹65 crore globally on day one, including paid previews, and held steady on day two.
The film's domestic collection stands at Rs 61.10 crore net after two days, while overseas earnings have crossed $3 million. It has overtaken Prabhas' The RajaSaab, which saw a sharp drop after a strong opening.
Directed by Anil Ravipudi, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu is positioned as a mass entertainer with strong family appeal and is one of the most anticipated Telugu releases of the festive season. The film also features a special appearance by Venkatesh, adding to the buzz surrounding its release. Notably, this marks the first time two top Telugu stars will share screen space. The film also reunites Chiranjeevi with Nayanthara.
The film found itself at the centre of online discussion after ratings and reviews were disabled on BookMyShow following a court order. The move, taken before the film's theatrical release, triggered mixed reactions among audiences, with many questioning the need to block public feedback.
According to industry chatter, the makers sought legal intervention amid concerns over fake reviews and coordinated negative rating campaigns that often surface around major releases. Over the past few years, several films have been impacted by manipulated online ratings, which producers argue can influence audience perception even before people watch the film.
