'Didn't expect to feel this empowered': Mom-to-be Samantha Ruth Prabhu reveals she has already gained 11 kgs

Telugu star Samantha Ruth Prabhu seems to be enjoying her pregnancy to the fullest. The actress, who recently took a break from work after announcing her pregnancy with Raj Nidimoru, has been sharing glimpses from her mom-to-be life on social media. Recently, she hosted an AMA session on Instagram with new moms, wherein several fans asked her about her pregnancy, while others shared their experiences.

Samantha hosted an AMA, writing, "New mamas, how we doing?" One fan replied, "Gaining weight," to which Samantha responded, "I feel ya. 11 kgs up already."

Another user shared, "Sometimes I will start a sentence and I don't even know where it's going- Mom brain". Samantha replied, saying, "Can't wait." A new mom even said that she is feeding, burping, rocking and then repeating it all over again. Samantha replied to the fan, saying, "That already sounds like a full-time job!"

Another user wrote, "Motherhood is setting the bar higher for myself." The actor responded, "Love that for you! Didn't expect to feel this empowered by this whole thing. Thought I'd be mostly overwhelmed." When a fan asked, "Are you enjoying this phase?" Samantha simply replied, "With all my heart."

Amid rumours of dating, Raj and Samantha made their relationship official by tying the knot at the Isha Yoga Centre in Coimbatore with a traditional yogic ceremony in December 2025. The actress starred in the film Maa Inti Bangaaram earlier this year, directed by Nandini Reddy and produced by Samantha, while Raj served as its creator.

The film grossed over Rs 100 crore worldwide, making it the highest-grossing female-led Telugu film. Following the film's success, Samantha appeared at a success celebration in a white T-shirt with her baby bump visible, sparking rumours of pregnancy.

Later at a press meet, Samantha confirmed that she was expecting her first child with Raj, and that she will be taking a maternity break. Since then, the actor has been sharing glimpses of her motherhood journey on social media. She recently shared pictures from her babymoon in Vietnam.
