Actor and politician Vijay has finally spoken publicly about the ongoing divorce speculation involving his wife Sangeetha Sornalingam. The Tamil superstar addressed the matter for the first time during a recent International Women's Day event organised by his political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, in Chennai.
For weeks, Vijay's personal life has been widely discussed across social media after reports surfaced that Sangeetha had filed for divorce following more than two decades of marriage. While the actor had remained silent amid the growing speculation, he briefly addressed the issue during his speech at the event.
Speaking to the crowd, Vijay urged his supporters not to worry about the developments in his personal life. "Please don't worry about the recent problems surrounding me. Those issues are not worth your time. I will take care of them myself," he said, addressing the speculation that has been circulating online.
The actor also admitted that what bothers him the most is seeing his fans stressed because of his personal issues. "What hurts me the most is seeing you feel sad or stressed because of my problems. Please don't carry that burden for me," he added, asking supporters to focus their energy on more meaningful matters.
