Bigg Boss season 19 is all set to hit the TV screens from 24th August. The teaser and trailer have amped up our excitement for the season with Salman Khan returning as the host. While the contestant list is under wraps, a new update has surfaced. As per the latest reports, makers have approached boxer Mike Tyson to revive the international appeal of the show, which was missing from past seasons.
As per TOI TV reports, the greatest heavyweight boxer, Mike Tyson might enter the show. Yes, you read that right! As per a well-placed source associated with the reality show, the boxer is in talks with the team of Bigg Boss 19 and might enter as a guest.
The source reveals to the portal, "We are in advanced discussions with Tyson and his team, and are currently negotiating his fee. If the deal works out, he is expected to enter the house in October for a week or 10 days. The dates, however, are yet to be finalised." Explaining the reason behind bringing in an international star, the source adds, "We haven't had an international contestant in a while, and they played a key role in boosting the show's appeal during its earlier seasons."
Salman Khan revealed the theme Democrazy: Gharwalon Ki Sarkaar for this season. For the first time in Bigg Boss history, housemates will have the authority to make decisions big and small, turning the house into a battleground of public sentiment, all with unfiltered consequences. The show will run for five months this time. Salman Khan will host this season for three months and then return for the grand finale. The remaining two months will have multiple hosts running the show. Some of the names surfacing are Karan Johar and Farah Khan.
Premiering on August 24th, the show will stream exclusively on JioHotstar at 9 PM, accompanied by an unfiltered 24-hour channel on the platform. Episodes will also air on COLORS at 10:30 PM. Talking about contestants, Sreerama Chandra, Mr Faisu, Payal Gamingg, Dhanashree Verma, Gaurav Khanna and Hunar Gandhi have been approached.
