Bigg Boss 20 is set for a grand premiere this weekend, with Salman Khan returning once again as the host. While fans are quite excited about the upcoming season, one question that often pops up is his massive remuneration. How much has the Bollywood superstar reportedly charged to host Bigg Boss 20? According to a report by ABP Marathi, Salman Khan has reportedly been paid a staggering Rs 120 crore for the entire season of Bigg Boss 20. However, neither the actor nor the makers have officially confirmed the numbers, so it should be considered a reported paycheque.
According to Free Press Journal, Salman Khan started hosting Bigg Boss with season 4 in 2010, and his reported fees have increased significantly over the years. The actor was reportedly paid Rs 2.5 crore per episode during the starting season, with his fee gradually climbing over the years. Reports claim that his fee was around Rs 200 crore for Bigg Boss 17 and around Rs 250 crore for Bigg Boss 18. For Bigg Boss 19, the actor reportedly charged Rs 120-150 crore for 15 weeks, although the makers did not confirm the amount.
While addressing the ongoing speculation regarding Salman Khan's paycheque, producer Rishi Negi said the settlement was confidential and added that, "whatever the rumour is, whatever it is, he is worth every penny."
Bigg Boss 20 is set to premiere on JioHotstar and Colors TV on September 6 at 9 pm. While the makers are yet to reveal the complete contestant list, there are a lot of speculations and rumours about the possible list of celebrity names set to enter this season. Among the names are Karan Wahi, Mahhi Vij, Jannat Zubair, Geeta Basra, Mr Faisu, Mary Kom, Isha Rikhi, Showik Chakraborty and Arishfa Khan.
