Nandita is a perfectionist, a woman whose life is governed by deep-seated fears and unresolved emotional trauma. Polite and reclusive, Nandita's character is a poignant reflection of how mental health struggles often remain unseen behind closed doors.

Gouri Tonnk on entering the show

Talking about joining the show and her character, Gouri Tonnk shared, "When I first heard the story of Itti Si Khushi, I was immediately drawn to its simplicity and emotional richness. It's not loud or over-the-top; it's delicate, honest, and rooted in emotions. My character, Nandita Sharma, is someone who appears composed on the outside but is constantly grappling with her inner world - a world filled with anxiety, overthinking. There is an underlying emotional stress she is dealing with all her anxiety over the years and fear is due to that. We'll see how she deals with it"

Varun Badola on his character in the show

Earlier, Varun Badola shared, "If Suhas had been a straightforward character, just an alcoholic and good-for-nothing, it would've been easier to understand and portray. It's very easy to make such a character look like a villain. But the brief I received was very clear: no matter what he does or how he behaves, Suhas must remain lovable. That's where the complexity lies, and that's what made it so exciting. One wrong step and Suhas could easily come across as negative. To keep him endearing, you have to accept him as he is. And as an actor, somewhere deep inside, I had to forgive him first to play his character onscreen. That's not easy. With every scene I read, there were moments I found myself disliking him, questioning his choices. And honestly, out of all the shows I've done, this is probably one of the most challenging roles I've taken up. But yes, Suhas is a beautifully written character, and I truly hope I do justice to the role."

Set in the heart of a middle-class Mumbai locality, Itti Si Khushi captures the raw, messy, and sometimes lighter dynamics of a household on the brink.
