Orry may have entered Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 as a surprise contestant, but his stint on the stunt-based reality show has turned into one of its talking points. From taking on challenging stunts to pushing fellow contestants, Orry has been winning appreciation from viewers. In an exclusive conversation with mid-day, he opened up about his friendships, his equation with Shagun Sharma, his camaraderie with Jasmine Bhasin and his desire to work with filmmaker Rohit Shetty.
Talking about his bond with Jasmine Bhasin, Orry said, "I love Jasmine. We used to sit in the bus every day to the stunt every day back. We were bus buddies. We'd sit together on the bus, go sit together, come back, we're watching reels, we're gossiping. Like she's told me her whole life story. I told her my like, we are very good friends. We are very good friends. I'm besties with all. Like, we are one big family. We're one fear factor family."
Orry, however, did not shy away from discussing his equation with Shagun. "I'm always keeping it real. And Shagun lives in her own la-la land that she's created herself. And I was like, you can be delusional if you want to, but you can't expect all of us to be delusional with you," he said.
He explained that his tough-love approach was intended to push her beyond her comfort zone. "So I really, I was like, I'm going to give it to you. And I kept giving it to her," he said, adding that he encouraged her to attempt difficult challenges.
Orry recalled, "I made her do the insect in the mouth stunt. I said, Rohit Shetty ji, please put her in. And I made her do the other water elimination stunt when I fought and threw her in." He pointed out that Shagun ultimately performed strongly, saying, "She won her elimination. She beat Rubina."
He added, "If I didn't push you, you wouldn't have known you'd be able to do it. You wouldn't have shown people. So you should thank me for being the reason that you did anything while you were here."
On the stunt he lost because of Shagun Sharma, Orry clarified, "That was a trial stunt. I wouldn't say I lost it because of her. I just had to gauge by her weight. That was fine." He also praised Shagun, saying, "She did good with that. In fact, that stunt, she went very confidently. It was the only stunt she went without complaining."
Orry also revealed that auditioning for Rohit Shetty's film was "so much fun". Recalling his dialogue mix-up, he said, "I don't think I said it wrong. I'm pretty sure I said, it's not g'nd, it's gaon. At least it was similar. I was close to the right script."
Talking about arriving with a gun during the audition, he added, "When I came with a gun, everyone started laughing. I would love to do a Rohit Shetty film. I would love to. Now you've seen me do the actual stunts. I'm sure I can nail the acting."
While the show has given Orry a chance to showcase a different side of himself, he admits he already misses the adrenaline. "The constant stimulation you get every day from that show. It's like adrenaline rush is an addiction and I'm missing it already," he said.
