FIR actor Ishwar Thakur in critical stage; family struggles financially for treatment

TV actor Ishwar Thakur, who is known for acting in comedy shows such as Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! and FIR, is currently in a critical condition. As per the latest development, the actor is currently admitted to a hospital in Thane, Maharashtra, receiving treatment for a kidney ailment in the ICU.

According to Ishwar's sister Jayshree, the actor's health deteriorated drastically a few days ago, following which he has remained unresponsive. Speaking to Hindustan Times, Jayshree shared that his health problems began with a foot wound in 2020.

Jayshree shared, "Ishwar is my elder brother. It all started with a wound in the foot in 2020, three months before the Covid lockdown. He's diabetic, so the wound didn't heal and now the infection has spread throughout his body. Two-three days back, his condition deteriorated and we rushed him to the hospital. He's been unresponsive ever since. We have spent whatever we had on his care but now we aren't being able to do more. Hence we need help."

The family also revealed that they have used up all their personal savings on his initial treatment and now are finding it difficult to cover the growing costs of his hospitalisation, diagnostic tests, and medications. According to her, the family has received financial support from the makers of FIR and Ghar Par Hain! and some of Ishwar's co-stars due to which they have managed his treatment so far.

Jayshree further added that an initial wound also led to Ishwar suffering from fatty liver, and he had overcome that. "But health issues cropped up again. The makers of his shows FIR and Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! helped us as much as they could. His co-stars too stepped in. Kavita Kaushik ji also put out an appeal for help, and it's because of all this that we could afford the treatment… until now," Jayshree said.
