Actress Shilpa Shinde has been in the news for quite some time after admitting that she had falsely accused producer Sanjay Kohli of sexual harassment. Recently, Bigg Boss 18 contestant Shehzada Dhami shared a long note alleging non-payment of Rs 30 lakh in dues by producer Rajan Shahi. Responding to the controversy, Shilpa alleged that even artists' associations often fail to stand by actors in such situations. The actress went on to label television producers as "white-collar mafias."
The Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain actress shared a video and stated, "Today, I want to say the same thing again. You've seen for yourself that even the artists' association does not stand by the artists. These TV industry producers operate like a mafia. They are white-collar mafias, and I have been saying this for a long time. The people in the artists' association side with the producers because they want work. Who, then, will stand up for the artists?"
She continued, "After someone dies, you come on Instagram and pretend to grieve. You're the same people who show up with candles after a person's death just to seek attention for no reason."
Opening up about her own experience, she said, "No one stood by me at that time. They might have had their reasons, so I didn't say anything."
The actress also defended her earlier admission that she had falsely accused the show's producer of sexual harassment, claiming she took that step because she felt trapped and wanted to secure her pending payments.
"To all those who have accused and blamed me, let me tell you this - you don't have the courage to do what I did," she added.
"Artists can be selfish. To hell with all those producers - I don't want to work with them anymore. The kind of work you do is terrible. There is no creativity left these days. All of you are making terrible shows."
Sharing the video, she captioned it, "Poori duniya mein sach koi bhi nahi bolta, sab darr darr ke jee rahe hain, lekin jhooth chhathi thonk ke bolte hain."
