In a high-stakes week on Alliance, hosted by Kunal Kemmu, wildcard entrant Seema Sajdeh has officially bid farewell to the show. But before making her emotional exit, she gave her ex-husband, Sohail Khan, a reality check. In an exclusive chat with mid-day, she opens up about her sons' reaction, Kushal Tandon's aggressive gameplay, being called a weak contestant, and more.
Asked how her sons and her close friends from the Bollywood Wives gang reacted to her eviction, Seema Sajdeh revealed that her younger son, Yohan, was upset, while her elder son, Nirvan, was happy to have her back home. She said, "My son Yohan was very upset. He was like, 'Why are you calling me?' I said, 'Means?' He said, 'How can you leave? Are you stupid?' I said, 'Don't call me stupid.' But yeah, I was a little upset. Nirvan was very happy to see me. When I called Neelam, she was like, 'What do you mean you are out? I was really enjoying you. You are playing so well.' I said, 'What are you watching?'"
Reacting to Mini Mathur calling her a weak contestant, Seema Sajdeh disagreed with the label, saying she entered the show in its third week, when the other contestants had already settled into the game. She added, "I was called a weak contestant by all the ones who had started the game. When I reached, they were already... the third week was going on. Had I not been injured, I would have shown them what a real game is. They had become very competitive. I had said they were behaving like they were playing the Olympics. I love playing games. I have been playing games my whole life, and I have excelled at it. I think the pressure was mounting for all the ones who were very competitive."
Speaking about Kushal Tandon's behaviour inside the house, Seema Sajdeh described him as emotional and impulsive. She said, "Kushal is like a child. When he feels hurt or let down by another person, instead of saying it like it is, he erupts like a volcano. He says all sorts of things for effect and reactions. What he did after the fight with Vanshaj, when Kunal fired him, was wrong. But if you look at it from the outside, the letter Vanshaj read out was hitting below the belt. Any human being would react."
Commenting on Sohail Khan's game after her eviction, Seema Sajdeh said she had deliberately called him a "pushover" to motivate him, but clarified that he is no longer one. She said, "I was trying to needle him with that word 'pushover,' but he is not a pushover. At this point in his life, he has changed as a person. He has calmed down and become more peace-loving. He can't handle all these fights. What you are in your youth changes with wisdom and age."
Reflecting on Sohail getting emotional after her exit, she added, "I know he is feeling vulnerable. I was his only ally in the house. I think he is also missing the kids. Captivity is not easy for anyone. You're out of your comfort zone and being watched 24x7. It's not easy."
