Actress Jennifer Winget has addressed the rumours surrounding her interaction with Parineeti Chopra at the success party of their Netflix series Shaque: Trust No One. The celebration, which took place in Mumbai recently, was attended by several cast members, including Parineeti, Harleen Sethi, Tahir Raj Bhasin and Anup Soni, among others. In videos from the celebrations, many users on social media noticed that Parineeti seemingly ignored Jennifer.
Videos from the event went viral on social media, in which Jennifer was seen standing behind Parineeti as the latter cut the celebratory cake along with other cast members. In another clip, netizens noticed that Parineeti allegedly skipped Jennifer while feeding cake to the cast members present. The videos sparked speculation online. Some users claimed that Parineeti might be jealous of Jennifer, after the latter's performance in the series received acclaim.
Amid the growing speculation, Jennifer has now broken her silence by issuing a clarification. In her statement, she urged people not to read too much into the incident.
Taking to her Instagram Story, the actress shared a note that read, "Let's please be kinder to each other and stop the negativity and make this into something it isn't. I simply backed out because there was not enough space there. Pari has always been kind and loving towards me, and we have nothing but love for each other. We're a team, and there's enough room for all of us to shine without pulling each other down."
Shaque: Trust No One revolves around a mother desperately searching for her daughter, who was abducted right after birth. She receives yearly photos of her missing child, only to later find that the truth lies hidden within her inner circle after nine years of searching.
Jennifer played Sakshi in the series, while Parineeti was seen as the leading character, Anvita. The show also stars Anup Soni, Harleen Sethi, Siddharth P Malhotra, Tahir Raj Bhasin, and Soni Razdan, among others. The show was released on Netflix on September 24, 2026 and received largely mixed to negative reviews.
Meanwhile, the show had been revived for a Season 2.
