In early August, Prime Video announced Job Trafficking, a new series by filmmaker Prashant Nair of Trial by Fire (2023) fame. But well before that, the director quietly began filming the Nimrat Kaur-led thriller at a disused mall in Mulund. Sources have told mid-day that Nair wanted a space that could be transformed according to the needs of his story, which explores online scams that lure job seekers abroad with fake employment offers.

A source shared, "Since the story moves to a South-east Asian setting, Nair felt the abandoned mall was the best choice as it gives him the scope to build different portions of the world within one location." The production team has also brought in 50 actors from different Asian countries for certain portions.

The series also stars (L-R) Roshan Mathew, Kavya Trehan, and Pavan Malhotra

Kaur is expected to film her action portions this week.
