Lock Upp Exclusive: Madhuri Grover comments on Shreya Kalra being an insecure person, says 'That is her side'

Entrepreneur Madhuri Grover's journey on Netflix's Lock Upp came to an end after she was evicted in a surprise mid-week elimination. The contestant, who was initially safe, landed in danger after failing to complete a task. In an exclusive chat with mid-day, Madhuri reflected on her journey and her friendship with Shreya Kalra.

After a recent task, when Madhuri Grover was seen taking a stand for Yogesh Rawat, Shreya Kalra got irked, leading to a crack in their friendship. When we asked Madhuri about the feud, she said, "There was no rift from my side. I think when Shreya also felt that Madhuri will put her mind to it, maybe she didn't understand it earlier. But there was no rift in the friendship. And I was the same from the beginning. I mean, I will do what I feel is right. Earlier, there was no opportunity to do all this. So, I got a chance to do it in this task."

Commenting on Shreya Kalra being an insecure person, she remarked, "She will also bring her other side. She is very smart. She can fight, but she can also go and talk to others and clarify. So, that is her side. And now she will bring that to the forefront."

Madhuri on backlash over her secret

In order to save herself last week, Madhuri revealed how she and Ashneer Grover were willing to have a third child; however, their families opposed the idea. While speaking about it, Madhuri said, "The third child keeps you younger. If you see all the rich people, including Shah Rukh Khan, they have a third child. Rich people having more children would increase wealth, while poor people having more children would increase poverty."

The remark triggered widespread backlash on social media. Talking about it, Madhuri averred, "We are used to taking all kinds of comments. In fact, I got to know it became a national debate. I didn't even think about it. I came to know after coming out of the house. My kids are telling me, ‘Mom, it became a national debate.' But because they were handling it and watching everyone."

On a parting note, Madhuri stated that she continues to have a soft corner for Yogesh and Akanksha, as they are good people. However, she continues to root for Shreya Kalra.
