The trailer of Operation Safed Sagar has become a talking point for more than just the depiction of the Indian Air Force's (IAF) role during the 1999 Kargil War. Viewers have also taken notice of the fresh pairing of Mihir Ahuja, who plays a young IAF officer, and Prajakta Koli.

According to sources, director Oni Sen put the pair through an exhaustive rehearsal process to make sure their relationship felt lived-in. "The approach was to set up character dynamics before the cameras rolled. The actors went through multiple script-reading sessions, improvisation exercises, and blocking rehearsals. Those sessions helped them understand each other's performance rhythms, pauses, and emotional cues," said a source, adding that most of the couple's scenes are staged with minimal dialogue.
