Netflix is bringing back its popular comedy offering The Great Indian Kapil Show with a brand-new season, just in time for the festive period. Hosted by Kapil Sharma, the fifth season of the comedy show will premiere on September 26, with new episodes dropping every Saturday at 8 pm.

Kapil Sharma returns with Season 5

The new season promises to continue the show's mix of celebrity conversations, comedy sketches, playful banter and Kapil Sharma's trademark humour. Joining him once again are Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Archana Puran Singh and Navjot Singh Sidhu.

This time, Netflix is positioning the season around the theme of ‘Hasi Ka Tyo-haha-har', bringing a festive spin to the show's comedy format. The makers promise a mix of celebrity guests, newsmakers and quirky personalities, with candid conversations and plenty of unscripted moments.

The show has previously turned Saturday nights into ‘Funnyvaar', while also playing around with its ‘Parivaar' and comedy-focused themes. Season 5 is expected to continue that approach while bringing together guests from different walks of life.

Speaking about returning for another season, Kapil Sharma said, "Every season, we think we have done enough fun, and then we realise that we are not done yet!" He also thanked audiences around the world for their continued support of the show.
