Doctor Who star Peter Capaldi is trading the TARDIS for a brand-new mystery. The BAFTA and Academy Award-winning actor has joined the cast of Only Murders in the Building Season 6 in a recurring guest role, adding another major name to the comedy series' increasingly starry ensemble.

Capaldi is best known globally for playing the Twelfth Doctor in the long-running sci-fi series Doctor Who. He has also earned acclaim for his BAFTA-winning turn as the sharp-tongued Malcolm Tucker in The Thick of It, besides appearing in projects including Criminal Record.
