After making her Bollywood debut with Silence 2: The Night Owl Bar Shootout, Parul Gulati is kicked about her next series as she draws examples from her personal life. Her next series, Blue Tick, directed by Shubham Singh and produced by Folklore Films, delves into the life of an aspiring actor who builds credibility and a fan base with her social media account.

Sharing insight into the West Delhi character Pallavi Pahuja, Gulati says, "Pallavi is a fascinating character to portray. She symbolises the modern-day aspirant, utilising social media as a ladder to climb towards her dreams. The quest for a blue tick on her profile becomes her beacon of validation, showcasing the power dynamics within the realm of social media influence."

The show, also starring Siddharth Nigam, reflects the zeitgeist of our digital age. And it explores the dichotomy between virtual validation and real-world success as the central character navigates the highs and lows of her journey in pursuit of the coveted blue tick. "[My character] is a risk-taker because she is young. She has no fear of failure. I relate to her because I was also spotted on a social media platform. Coming to Mumbai and becoming an actor was also my dream, which has come true," she added.
