Television actress Rashami Desai has firmly denied reports claiming that she is participating in the upcoming season of Lock Upp, expressing frustration over being repeatedly linked to reality shows without any confirmation from her side.
As speculation surrounding Lock Upp continues to dominate entertainment headlines, Rashami clarified that she has not signed up for the controversial reality show. The actress revealed that such rumours surface frequently and often create unnecessary confusion among her fans and industry colleagues.
Addressing the reports, Rashami said, "People keep taking my name for every reality show. I don't know why. I don't like it." She added that several media reports and social media discussions have been circulating without any factual basis.
The actress explained that she prefers to focus on her ongoing professional commitments rather than react to every rumour that trends online. According to her, constant speculation can sometimes affect genuine work opportunities and lead to misconceptions about her career plans.
Rashami also pointed out that she has not been approached for Lock Upp and urged people to verify information before publishing stories. "I think people should confirm things before writing about them. These are just rumours," she said.
The actress, who has been a familiar face in reality television through shows such as Bigg Boss 13, Bigg Boss 15, and Nach Baliye, acknowledged that audiences often associate her with the reality-show space. However, she made it clear that this does not mean she will participate in every new format that comes along.
Her clarification comes amid growing buzz around the contestant lineup for Lock Upp, which is expected to premiere soon. Several celebrity names have been linked to the show in recent weeks, though many remain unconfirmed. Rashami's name was among those frequently discussed on social media and fan forums, prompting her to address the speculation directly.
The actress stressed that she is currently focused on her own projects and is in no rush to join another reality show. "Right now, I am concentrating on my work. There are many exciting things happening professionally," she shared.
By setting the record straight, Rashami hopes to put an end to the ongoing rumours and ensure that fans receive accurate information about her future plans. For now, she remains clear on one point she is not entering Lock Upp and would appreciate it if her name was not used to fuel baseless speculation.
