Ravi Kishan's exit from Alliance marked one of the biggest turning points in the reality show. In an exclusive conversation with mid-day, the actor and politician reflected on his emotional journey, participating alongside daughter Rivva Kishan, and the game that unfolded inside the house.
Calling the experience deeply personal, Ravi revealed that the show brought back a carefree side of him that had remained hidden for years. "The child in me, which had been suppressed inside me for so many years, was coming out. I was really enjoying. Rivva was also watching and enjoying. Any kid would love to see their parent relaxed, unwinding, chilling and having fun."
He admitted that his responsibilities as a Parliamentarian had kept him away from family life in recent years, making the reality show a rare opportunity to reconnect with his daughter. "When I became a Parliamentarian, I was not spending time with my family. For Riva, it was a blast because she saw me dancing, doing tasks and going crazy. I could see in her eyes that she was happy."
Interestingly, Ravi said joining Alliance was never his idea. Instead, he credited Rivva for convincing him to take the plunge. "It was her call. She said, 'Papa, there's a show, let's go together.' I told her, 'You know me. I can say anything. I'm the internet's favourite because of that. My 34 years of hard work could go in vain if I say something wrong.' I was genuinely scared because it's a reality show."
He also confessed that living with strangers under one roof made him anxious. "After almost 20 years, I had to share my room with other people. I'm a very aloof person. All day I'm around people, but the evenings are mine. Looking at Rivva, I realised she wanted to come out of Ravi Kishan's shadow and create her own identity. I decided to do this for my daughter."
Despite his initial fears, Ravi was relieved to leave the show without controversy. "Thank God I stayed in the show without any allegation on me. I didn't make any mistake inside."
Reflecting on his personality, Ravi said he has never believed in taking himself too seriously. "I take my profession seriously, but I don't take myself that seriously. After becoming a Parliamentarian, people expect you to behave differently, but I can't do that. I'm a Shiva devotee and I love living carefree. That's what people love about me."
Discussing the gameplay, Ravi admitted he was fascinated by the contestants' personalities and quickly understood the strategic nature of the competition. "I love reading human minds. When I see someone who's crazy or different, I get curious about why they're like that. I liked Payal and Vanshaj. I wanted to build that team, but Nikhil came and broke it. He started playing from Day 1."
The actor also shared that he constantly advised contestants to keep the competition healthy. "I kept telling everyone this is not Bigg Boss. Don't abuse, don't indulge in personal attacks or hit below the belt. Because I'm in politics, I understand how these games work."
While he guided the housemates, Ravi deliberately allowed Riva to chart her own path. "I didn't want to be a selfish father. I wanted her to play her own game. A father sometimes has to let his child enter the jungle while quietly watching from a distance. I was giving her space, but my eyes were always on her."
Although his Alliance journey has ended, Ravi believes the experience strengthened his bond with Rivva while allowing audiences to rediscover the fun-loving side of his personality.
