Raghav Chadha has praised wife Parineeti Chopra's performance in Shaque: Trust No One, calling the Netflix mystery thriller a gripping watch that kept him guessing until the final episode. Days after attending the series premiere with close friends and family, Raghav took to social media to share his reaction to the seven-episode thriller.
"Shaque had me hooked till the very end. The suspense keeps building; every episode makes you question what you think you know. By the end, I only wanted one answer. Who was the kidnapper?" he wrote.
Raghav also recalled watching the series at its premiere with their loved ones, adding that the occasion made the experience even more special. His post came as Parineeti's series debut continues to draw attention, with the actor playing Anvita, a mother caught in a mystery surrounding her missing daughter. Shaque: Trust No One began streaming on Netflix on September 24.
Along with praising the thriller, Raghav had a special message for Parineeti. Tagging the actor, he wrote, "parineeti chopra, you completely lived Anvita."
He went on to describe the show as a "genuinely gripping, nail-biting watch", while jokingly acknowledging that his equation with Parineeti could make him a biased viewer. Still, his post focused on the suspense of the series and her performance.
The thriller features an ensemble cast including Jennifer Winget, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Soni Razdan, Anup Soni and Sumeet Vyas. Written and directed by Rensil D'Silva, the series follows a mother whose daughter goes missing, setting off a mystery where questions around trust and identity drive the story.
The project also holds personal significance for Parineeti. The actor had earlier revealed that she discovered she was pregnant while filming Shaque in Shimla. The production team adjusted the shoot around her pregnancy, including modifying physically demanding sequences and making arrangements to reduce the strain of travelling through the hilly locations. Raghav also rushed to Shimla after learning about the pregnancy.
Parineeti had described the experience as one where the makers took particular care of her during the shoot. The series now marks an important new chapter in her career as her first OTT project.
With Raghav's latest post, the actor has once again publicly backed Parineeti's performance, this time after getting to watch the mystery unfold for himself. Shaque: Trust No One is currently streaming on Netflix.
