Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour
One would have expected the atmosphere at the premiere of the final season of Stranger Things to be tense, given reports that Millie Bobby Brown had filed a harassment case against her on-screen father, David Harbour. However, contrary to expectations, the premiere was filled with joy and celebration as the cast and crew gathered for one last time. The star-studded event was held at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles on Thursday night. Millie Bobby Brown was seen arriving on the red carpet with David Harbour, who has played her on-screen father for the past four seasons. On the red carpet, Millie told reporters that she shares a "really special bond" with David - leaving fans confused and wondering if the case was a publicity stunt.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Brown, who plays Eleven in the series, said, "I obviously have a really special bond with David because we have a father-daughter relationship and we do every scene together. You'll really get to see that in season 5. It's been so special to have him along this journey with me." The two were seen happily posing for the press, showing no signs of discomfort.
Brown accused David Harbour, who plays Jim Hopper, of "bullying and harassing" her. According to reports, the allegations are serious but do not involve sexual misconduct.
A Radar Online source reportedly revealed, "Millie Bobby Brown filed a harassment and bullying claim before they started shooting the last season. There were pages and pages of accusations. The investigation went on for months."
Netflix has declined to comment on the matter but has reportedly ensured that the controversy will not overshadow the highly anticipated release of Stranger Things season 5. A source from the streamer said, "It will be a theatrical event. Nothing is going to overshadow this, not even the leading man's private life."
Though Netflix has not made the investigation findings public, insiders confirmed that an internal probe was conducted and that the company is working to prevent the controversy from affecting the show's conclusion.
