The grand unrestricted celebrations of Navratri 2022 in Mumbai have paved the way for the round two of October festive season with Dussehra and Diwali round the corner. As the environment speaks of warmth, colour and joy, people are encouraged to reflect the same on their way of life. A desire to start afresh has opened doors for new aspirations and experiments with life goals and personality by embracing new age fashion trends in a positive manner. Colouring the hair is one of those many bold choices that people have started to largely indulge in.

From different shades of red and brown, the young are not reluctant to try out rebellious colours that stand out from conventional hairdos. If you are one among those pondering over the perfect time to get your hair dyed, this festive season may be the best suited occasion to make that move and appreciate the new look for yourself.

If you are a beginner, digital content creator Erica Dias says one of the most crucial factors in picking the ideal hair colour is your skin tone. The right colour will complement your complexion and enhance its beauty, while the wrong one might make it appear lifeless and drab.

According to Dias, one can try out the following styles for the ongoing festive season:

Chocolate balayage: If you want a more natural appearance, this colour compliments your hair.

Sunkissed highlights: If you want to get the ideal sunkissed look, choose a light brown colour with warm golden highlights. The festive season's hair colour trend, called sandy balayage, is all about giving your everyday appearance a twist. A terrific approach to update your look and capture the puja spirit is with a sandy balayage.

Crazy chunks: A few colourful hairs peeking out from beneath around the neck will work wonders.

Mocha ombre: Those who haven't yet experimented with hair colour should go dark at the roots, medium-light in the centre, and brighter at the ends.

Expensive Brunette: The goal of an expensive brunette is to provide deeper hair vitality, dimension, and detail. When opting for a darker shade of hair colour, it's all too simple to apply one tone throughout, which is akin to using a box dye at home. Expensive brunette is all about adding depth and intrigue with several deeper colours to make the finished product more dimensional and expensive-looking.

Golden Copper: Red has also been consistently in style this year and won't be going anywhere. It's actually becoming brighter. Those seeking a dramatic transformation frequently choose this colour.

Just keep in mind that red is one of the most difficult colours to keep looking good, so budget for frequent touch-ups and be sure to only use shampoos that won't fade the colour.

Digital content creator Divya Lulla suggests the following steps to choose the right hair colour:

Step 1: Look at your skin

In a well-lit environment, attentively inspect your skin in the mirror. This should be done in natural light. Look for pink/blue or gold/yellow tones. You have a warm undertone if your skin contains yellow undertones.

Step 2: Check your wrists

Examine your veins closely to see what colour they are. You have a cold undertone if your veins seem blue or purple.

Step 3: Examine your eyes

If the blue and green flecks in your iris are more prominent, your undertone is cold; conversely, if the brown or gold flecks are more prominent, your undertone is warm.

Blonde Hair Colours:

For warm skin tones, choose cool blonde hair colours: bronde, strawberry blonde, champagne blonde.

Brown Hair Colours:

Ash brown, chocolate brown, espresso, and cool dark brown are examples of cool brown hair colours for warm skin tones.

A step-by-step guide to using DIY colours at home:

Step 1: After reading the directions and doing a strand test, blow-dry, style, and part your hair as usual. This will make it easier to display which hair colour parts you choose.

Step 2: Instead of removing strands at random, separate out 10 pieces that are each 1/4 inch broad and spaced evenly apart, going from the front of your hair toward your head.

Step 3: Use a toothbrush to paint on the solution from root to ends if you're not using a professional-grade Hair Colour kit; it can be more exact than certain brushes. Put a cotton ball between each item to avoid colour bleed by holding them away from your head.

Step 4: Allow the colour to set for the allotted period of time, wash the item, and then use a clear gloss treatment to add shine and seal the colour.
