The accused was traced and arrested after a technical investigation, and valuables worth Rs 14 lakh have been recovered.

According to the police, the complainant, Anupam Tapankumar Pal (42), had handed over 272 grams of 14-carat gold jewellery and diamond polki to the artisan, Bishu Ramkrishna Mangal (33), who worked at his shop.
