A 51-year-old Mahalaxmi woman has alleged that she was assaulted, stripped and threatened with obscene videos inside the office of a private pharmaceutical firm. The woman, who runs a photo-frame and gifting business, claimed she was called to the company's Mahalaxmi office in January 2023, where she was assaulted with the butt of a revolver, forcibly disrobed and filmed under threat that the videos would be circulated if she did not comply.

According to her complaint, on January 17, 2023, around 11.30 am, she was taken to the office's second floor, where one accused hit her on the back and shoulder and, at gunpoint, forced her to strip. She further alleged that three others abused her while another tried to coerce her into giving a false statement in an internal dispute. She said she was later threatened with fabricated cases and faced continued intimidation.

She first approached the Pydhonie police on May 6, 2025. The case was later transferred to NM Joshi Marg police recorded her detailed statement on November 22, 2025, in the presence of her husband. An FIR has been registered against six accused, including senior company officials, under several IPC sections (because the crime happened before BNS came into effect) and under IT Act sections.

Further investigation is underway.
