Central Railway announces 418 special trains from Mumbai, Pune for Diwali, Chhath and Durga Puja 2026

The services include special trains connecting Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) with Gorakhpur, Chennai, Bengaluru, Latur, Nagpur and Kolhapur, besides services from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT), Hadapsar, Pune and Nagpur to destinations in several states

Central Railway has announced 418 special train services to cater to the expected rush during the upcoming Puja, Diwali and Chhath festival season. The special services will connect Mumbai, Pune and Nagpur with several destinations across the country between October and November 2026.

The services include special trains connecting Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) with Gorakhpur, Chennai, Bengaluru, Latur, Nagpur and Kolhapur, besides services from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT), Hadapsar, Pune and Nagpur to destinations in several states.

CSMT-Gorakhpur daily specials

Central Railway will operate 64 daily special services between CSMT and Gorakhpur.

Train 01079 will depart CSMT at 10.30 pm daily from October 16 to November 16, 2026, and arrive at Gorakhpur at 10 am on the third day.

The return service, train 01080, will depart Gorakhpur at 2.30 pm daily from October 18 to November 18, 2026, and arrive at CSMT at 12.40 am on the third day.

The trains will halt at Dadar, Thane, Kalyan, Nashik Road, Manmad, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Bhopal, Bina, Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi, Orai, Kanpur Central, Lucknow, Gonda, Mankapur, Basti and Khalilabad.

The composition will include four AC-3 Tier, 11 Sleeper Class, five General Second Class and two General Second Class-cum-Guard's Brake Van coaches.

CSMT-Chennai weekly AC specials

There will be 12 weekly AC special services between CSMT and Chennai Beach.

Train 01015 will depart CSMT at 12.35 am every Wednesday from October 14 to November 18 and arrive at Chennai Beach at 11.30 pm the same day.

The return service, train 01016, will depart Chennai Beach at 4 am every Thursday from October 15 to November 19 and arrive at CSMT at 4.05 am the following day.

The halts are Dadar, Thane, Kalyan, Lonavala, Pune, Daund, Kurduwadi, Solapur, Kalaburagi, Wadi, Krishna, Raichur, Mantralayam Road, Adoni, Guntakal, Gooty, Tadipatri, Yerraguntla, Kadapa, Razampet, Renigunta, Arakkonam and Perambur.

The composition will include two AC-2 Tier, 18 AC-3 Tier and two Generator Van coaches.

CSMT-Bengaluru weekly AC specials

Central Railway will operate 14 weekly AC special services between CSMT and SMV Bengaluru.

Train 01013 will depart CSMT at 12.35 am every Saturday from October 10 to November 21 and arrive at SMV Bengaluru at 11.55 pm the same day.

Train 01014 will depart SMV Bengaluru at 4.30 am every Sunday from October 11 to November 22 and arrive at CSMT at 4.05 am the following day.

The halts are Dadar, Thane, Kalyan, Lonavala, Pune, Lonand, Satara, Karad, Sangli, Miraj, Kudachi, Ramganga, Ghataprabha, Belgavi, Londa, Dharwad, Hubballi, Haveri, Ranibennur, Harihar, Davangere, Birur, Arsikere and Tumakuru.

The composition will include two AC-2 Tier, 18 AC-3 Tier and one Generator Van.

CSMT-Latur bi-weekly special

There will be 26 bi-weekly special services between CSMT and Latur.

Train 01105 will depart CSMT at 12.35 am every Tuesday and Thursday from October 13 to November 24 and arrive at Latur at 11.40 am the same day.

The return service, train 01106, will depart Latur at 4.30 pm every Tuesday and Thursday from October 13 to November 24 and arrive at CSMT at 4.10 am the following day.

The halts are Dadar, Thane, Kalyan, Lonavala, Pune, Uruli, Daund, Bhigwan, Jeur, Kurduwadi, Barsi Town, Dharashiv and Harangul.

The composition will include four AC-3 Tier, 11 Sleeper Class, five Second Class and two Second Seating-Guard's Brake Van coaches.

CSMT-Nagpur weekly superfast special

Central Railway will operate 12 weekly superfast special services between CSMT and Nagpur.

Train 02139 will depart CSMT at 12.25 am every Saturday from October 17 to November 21 and arrive at Nagpur at 3.35 pm the same day.

Train 02140 will depart Nagpur at 1.30 pm every Sunday from October 18 to November 22 and arrive at CSMT at 4.10 am the following day.

The halts are Dadar, Thane, Kalyan, Nashik Road, Manmad, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Malkapur, Shegaon, Akola, Murtizapur, Badnera, Dhamangaon and Wardha.

The composition will include four AC-3 Tier, 11 Sleeper Class, five Second Class and two Second Seating-Guard's Brake Van coaches.

CSMT-Kolhapur weekly special

Central Railway will operate 12 weekly special services between CSMT and Kolhapur.

Train 01417 will depart CSMT at 2.30 pm every Thursday from October 15 to November 19 and arrive at Kolhapur at 4.20 am the following day.

Train 01418 will depart Kolhapur at 12.05 am every Thursday from October 15 to November 19 and arrive at CSMT at 1.30 pm the same day.

The halts are Dadar, Thane, Kalyan, Lonavala, Pune, Jejuri, Lonand, Satara, Karad, Kirloskarwadi, Sangli, Miraj and Hatkanangle.

The composition will include two AC-2 Tier, four AC-3 Tier, six Sleeper Class, four General Second Class, one Second Seating-cum-Guard's Brake Van and one Generator Van.

LTT-Mau bi-weekly specials

There will be 24 bi-weekly special services between LTT and Mau.

Train 01123 will depart LTT at 12.15 pm every Friday and Sunday from October 11 to November 20 and arrive at Mau at 9.30 pm the following day.

Train 01124 will depart Mau at 4.15 am every Sunday and Tuesday from October 13 to November 22 and arrive at LTT at 4.45 pm the following day.

The halts are Thane, Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nashik Road, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Pipariya, Narsinghpur, Madan Mahal, Katni, Maihar, Satna, Manikpur, Prayagraj Chheoki, Varanasi Junction, Jaunpur Junction, Shahganj, Khorason Road, Azamgarh and Muhammadabad.

The composition will include four AC-3 Tier, 11 Sleeper Class, five General Second Class and two Second Class-cum-Guard's Brake Van coaches.

LTT-Thiruvananthapuram North weekly special

Central Railway will operate 12 weekly special services between LTT and Thiruvananthapuram North.

Train 01463 will depart LTT at 4 pm every Thursday from October 15 to November 19 and arrive at Thiruvananthapuram North at 11.30 pm the following day.

Train 01464 will depart Thiruvananthapuram North at 2.15 pm every Saturday from October 17 to November 21 and arrive at LTT at 11.55 pm the following day.

The halts are Thane, Panvel, Pen, Roha, Khed, Chiplun, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, Thivim, Karmali, Madgaon, Karwar, Gokarna Road, Kumta, Murudeshwar, Bhatkal, Mookambika Road Byndoor, Kundapura, Udupi, Suratkal, Mangalore, Kasaragod, Cannanore, Calicut, Tirur, Shoranur, Thrissur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Changanassery, Tiruvalla, Chengannur, Mavelikara, Kayankulam Junction, Karunagappalli, Sasthankotta, Kollam and Varkala Sivagiri.

The composition will include four AC-3 Tier, 11 Sleeper Class, five General Second Class and two Second Class-Guard's Brake Van coaches.

LTT-Madgaon weekly special

There will be 14 weekly special services between LTT and Madgaon.

Train 01179 will leave LTT at 8.20 am every Friday from October 9 to November 20. It will arrive at Madgaon at 10.10 pm on October 9 and October 16, following monsoon timings, and at 8.30 pm from September 23 to November 20, following non-monsoon timings.

Train 01180 will leave Madgaon at 10 pm every Friday from September 23 to November 20, following non-monsoon timings, and at 11 pm on October 9 and October 16, following monsoon timings. It will arrive at LTT at 11.25 am the following day.

The halts are Thane, Panvel, Pen, Roha, Khed, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Thivim and Karmali.

The composition will include one AC First Class, four AC-2 Tier, eight AC-3 Tier, eight Sleeper Class, one pantry and two Generator Van coaches.

LTT-Banaras bi-weekly specials

Central Railway will run 24 bi-weekly special services between LTT and Banaras.

Train 01051 will depart LTT at 12.15 pm every Wednesday and Thursday from October 14 to November 19 and arrive at Banaras at 4.05 pm the following day.

Train 01052 will depart Banaras at 8.30 pm every Thursday and Friday from October 15 to November 20 and arrive at LTT at 4.40 am on the third day.

The halts are Thane, Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nashik Road, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Pipariya, Narsinghpur, Madan Mahal, Katni, Maihar, Satna, Manikpur, Prayagraj Chheoki and Varanasi Junction.

The composition will include four AC-3 Tier, 11 Sleeper Class, five General Second Class and two Second Class-Guard's Brake Van coaches.

Pune-New Amravati weekly AC specials

A total of 12 weekly AC special services will operate between Pune and New Amravati.

Train 01403 will depart Pune at 7.55 pm every Tuesday from October 13 to November 17 and arrive at New Amravati at 10.05 am the following day.

Train 01404 will depart New Amravati at 12 pm every Wednesday from October 14 to November 18 and arrive at Pune at 12.15 am the following day.

The halts are Daund Chord Line, Ahilyanagar, Belapur, Kopargaon, Manmad, Chalisgaon, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Malkapur, Shegaon, Akola, Murtizapur and Badnera.

The composition will include three AC-2 Tier, 15 AC-3 Tier, one Second Seating-Guard's Brake Van and one Generator Van.

Hadapsar-Ghazipur City bi-weekly special

Central Railway will operate 24 bi-weekly special services between Hadapsar and Ghazipur City.

Train 01431 will depart Hadapsar at 6.55 am every Friday and Tuesday from October 13 to November 20 and arrive at Ghazipur City at 8.15 pm the following day.

Train 01432 will depart Ghazipur City at 4 am every Sunday and Thursday from October 15 to November 22 and arrive at Hadapsar at 4.20 pm the following day.

The halts are Daund Chord Cabin, Ahilyanagar, Belapur, Kopargaon, Manmad, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Pipariya, Narsinghpur, Madan Mahal, Katni, Maihar, Satna, Manikpur, Prayagraj Chheoki, Varanasi, Jaunpur and Aunrihar Junction.

The composition will include four AC-3 Tier, six Sleeper Class, six General Second Class and two Second Seating-cum-Guard's Brake Van coaches.

Hadapsar-Gorakhpur daily specials

There will be 64 daily special services between Hadapsar and Gorakhpur.

Train 01415 will depart Hadapsar at 7.05 am daily from October 16 to November 16 and arrive at Gorakhpur at 4 pm the following day.

Train 01416 will depart Gorakhpur at 5.30 pm daily from October 17 to November 17 and arrive at Hadapsar at 3.30 am on the third day.

The halts are Daund Chord Cabin, Ahilyanagar, Belapur, Kopargaon, Manmad, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Bhopal, Bina, Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi, Orai, Kanpur Central, Lucknow, Gonda, Mankapur and Basti.

The composition will include four AC-3 Tier, six Sleeper Class, six General Second Class and two Second Seating-cum-Guard's Brake Van coaches.

Nagpur-Hadapsar bi-weekly special

Central Railway will operate 26 bi-weekly special services between Nagpur and Hadapsar.

Train 01201 will depart Nagpur at 7.40 pm every Monday and Thursday from October 8 to November 19 and arrive at Hadapsar at 11.05 am the following day.

Train 01202 will depart Hadapsar at 4.05 pm every Tuesday and Friday from October 9 to November 20 and arrive at Nagpur at 6.30 am the following day.

The halts are Wardha, Dhamangaon, Badnera, Akola, Shegaon, Malkapur, Bhusaval, Jalgaon, Manmad, Kopargaon, Belapur, Ahilyanagar, Daund Chord Line and Uruli.

The composition will include four AC-3 Tier, six Sleeper Class, six General Second Class and two Second Seating-cum-Guard's Brake Van coaches.

Nagpur-Hadapsar weekly special

There will also be 14 weekly special services between Nagpur and Hadapsar.

Train 01209 will depart Nagpur at 7.40 pm every Saturday from October 10 to November 21 and arrive at Hadapsar at 11.05 am the following day.

Train 01210 will depart Hadapsar at 4.05 pm every Sunday from October 11 to November 22 and arrive at Nagpur at 6.30 am the following day.

The halts are Wardha, Dhamangaon, Badnera, Akola, Shegaon, Malkapur, Bhusaval, Jalgaon, Manmad, Kopargaon, Belapur, Ahilyanagar, Daund Chord Line and Uruli.

The composition will include four AC-3 Tier, six Sleeper Class, six General Second Class and two Second Seating-cum-Guard's Brake Van coaches.

Kolhapur-Kalaburagi special

Central Railway will operate 64 special services between Kolhapur and Kalaburagi five days a week, except Friday.

Train 01451 will depart Kolhapur at 6.10 am every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from October 10 to November 15 and arrive at Kalaburagi at 4.10 pm the same day.

Train 01452 will depart Kalaburagi at 6.10 pm on the same days from October 10 to November 15 and arrive at Kolhapur at 5.40 am the following day.

The halts are Hatkanangale, Jaysingpur, Miraj, Arag, Belanki, Sulgare, Kavathe Mahankal, Langarpeth, Dhalgaon, Mhasoba Dongargaon, Javale, Wasud, Sangola, Pandharpur, Modnimb, Kurduvadi and Solapur.

The composition will include four AC-3 Tier, six Sleeper Class, six General Second Class and two Second Seating-Guard's Brake Van coaches.

Advance reservation dates

Bookings for train numbers 01079, 01015, 01013, 01105, 01106, 01417, 01418, 01123, 01431, 01201 and 01202 will open on September 27, 2026, at computerised reservation centres and through IRCTC.

Bookings for train numbers 02139, 02140, 01463, 01179, 01051, 01403, 01404, 01415, 01209, 01210, 01451 and 01452 will open on September 28, 2026, at computerised reservation centres and through IRCTC.

Passengers travelling in unreserved coaches can use the UTS system at normal charges. The RailOne app is also available for passengers.

Central Railway has advised passengers to check detailed timings at the halts of these special trains through enquiry.indianrail.gov.in or the NTES app before travelling.
