Missing footpaths, potholes, encroachers take the sheen off this home of celebrities

On July 25, we had put the spotlight on encroached, broken and missing footpaths, pothole-riddled roads, rotting mounds of garbage and poor supply of drinking water across this ward, which is home to a number of celebrities. While the issue of sanitation has been largely addressed in most areas, hawkers still gobble up public spaces near SNDT College and outside Vile Parle station, and roads continue to give bumpy rides. Paver blocks on some pavements have loosened and pose risk to pedestrians. The supply of water has improved.
