A man was arrested by the Sahar police for allegedly attempting to travel from Mumbai to the UAE using a forged visa. The accused had altered a genuine tourist visa to resemble an employment visa. It was the discrepancy in the font style that alerted authorities and led to his arrest.

The accused has been identified as Muhammad Karim, a resident of Lucknow. The complainant in the case is Ganesh Madhav Gawli, an immigration officer at the airport.

A police officer said, "The accused arrived at the Mumbai airport around 12 am. Immigration officer Ganesh Gawli stopped him and checked his boarding pass, passport, and UAE employment visa."

"During questioning, Karim said he was travelling for employment. However, officer Gawli noticed that the font style on the visa looked suspicious. Upon verifying the visa number online, it was revealed that the document was in fact a tourist visa," the officer added.
