Bollywood actor Dino Morea appeared before the Mumbai Police's Economic Offences Wing (EOW) on Friday in connection with the ongoing investigation into alleged financial irregularities in the Mithi River desilting project.
The actor appeared before Mumbai Police's Economic Offences Wing to clarify certain facts that emerged during the investigation into alleged financial irregularities.
Morea was seen leaving Mumbai Police's Economic Offences Wing (EOW) after over 5 hours.
The EOW has been probing the alleged Rs 65.54-crore Mithi River desilting scam.
Morea appeared at the EOW headquarters in the Mumbai Police Commissioner's office complex near Crawford Market in South Mumbai, where investigators questioned him about his alleged links with individuals connected to the case.
A senior EOW officer confirmed that Morea had been summoned to verify certain facts that emerged during the investigation.
Bollywood actor Dino Morea had earlier been questioned by the agency in May 2025.
Earlier on Friday, Dino Morea denied reports claiming that he was detained or arrested by the Mumbai Police Economic Offences Wing (EOW) in connection with the alleged Mithi River desilting 'scam'.
After several portals reported that Dino Morea had been arrested following questioning by the EOW, mid-day contacted the actor through WhatsApp seeking a confirmation on the reports.
Morea, in a WhatsApp message to mid-day, denied the reports, saying, "not true."
The Bollywood actor's response comes amid reports circulating online that he had been detained from his Bandra residence after being questioned by the EOW in the Mithi River desilting case.
A senior Economic Offences Wing (EOW) officer said, "He (Dino Morea) is being questioned based on certain leads in the investigation."
The official later said, "After questioning he (Dino Morea) as been allowed to go. As per the need and requirement, he may be called again for further questioning and processes as per law."
