A senior citizen succumbed to injuries after a plaster tray fell upon her at a construction site in Mahim area.
According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the 64-year-old woman was rushed to the nearby civic-run Sion hospital.
The incident took place at Shraddha Construction, near Gurudwara, Guru Nanak Road, near City Light Cinema, Mahim (W).

"Construction work of a new high-rise building was going on when a plaster tray fell upon a woman," BMC official said.
The deceased has been identified as Ayarin Rodriques. "She was declared brought dead at Sion Hospital," the BMC statement read.
"An investigation into the matter is underway," the BMC added.

Meanwhile, a two labourers were severely injured after scaffolding collapsed on them from a construction site in Khar (W).
While one of the labourer is in critical condition, another injured labourer was treated and discharged.
