The Central Railway on Tuesday announced that the Mumbai-Secunderabad Duronto will run as a fully AC train from April 2026 and the Konkan Kanya and Mandovi Express will get extra coaches.
According to an official statement, the Mumbai-Madgaon Konkan Kanya Express and Mandovi Express will run with one additional AC 3-tier Economy coach on a permanent basis.
The decision has been taken in view of the growing number of passengers travelling between Mumbai and the Konkan region, it said.
The revised composition will come into effect from February 24/25, 2026.
The updated composition for train numbers 20111/20112 (CSMT-Madgaon-CSMT) Konkan Kanya Express and 10103/10104 (CSMT-Madgaon-CSMT) Mandovi Express will include 1 First AC cum AC 2-Tier, 1 AC 2-Tier, 4 AC 3-Tier, 3 AC 3-Tier Economy, 7 Sleeper Class, 4 General Second Class, 1 Pantry Car, 1 Generator Car and 1 Second Seating and Luggage-cum-Guard's Brake Van, the statement said.
The revised composition will be effective as follows -
- Train 20111 CSMT-Madgaon Konkan Kanya Express from February 25, 2026
- Train 20112 Madgaon-CSMT Konkan Kanya Express from 24 February 24, 2026
- Train 10103 CSMT-Madgaon Mandovi Express from February 25, 2026
- Train 10104 Madgaon-CSMT Mandovi Express from February 25, 2026
The Mumbai-Secunderabad Duronto Express will run as a fully air-conditioned train from April 24/25, 2026, the official statement said.
The revised composition for train numbers 12219/12220 (LTT-Secunderabad-LTT) will be 1 First AC, 4 AC 2-Tier, 12 AC 3-Tier, 1 Pantry Car and 2 Generator Cars.
The train will run with 20 LHB coaches under the new arrangement, it said.
The revised composition will take effect from April 25, 2026 for train 12219 (LTT-Secunderabad) and from 24 April 2026 for train 12220 (Secunderabad-LTT).
Railways has clarified that there will be no change in the halts or timings of these trains.
Passengers can check detailed schedules on the official railway enquiry website or through the NTES mobile application, the statement further said.
"Passengers are advised to take note of the changes," the Central Railway said.
